People die every year from diarrhoeal diseases.
Of that 1.8million are children under five.

While villages in Fiji are generally nestled in pristine environments, their drinking water sources are at risk of contamination by farms encroaching on water catchments and wild animals having access to them.
Water systems in Fiji’s rural areas generally lack purification elements which leaves villages vulnerable to water borne diseases.
CWT have therefore began discussions with two villages in the Highlands of Naitasiri on the possibility of incorporating Light Well water purification systems to safe-guard the health of villagers from water related diseases.
Project discussions are currently underway.
